02 — What Changed

Key changes in the Nigeria Tax Act 2025

₦800,000 Tax-Free Threshold

Earn up to ₦800,000 annually (≈₦66,667/month) and pay zero income tax — a 167% increase from the old ₦300,000 threshold.

SME CIT Exemption

Businesses with annual turnover ≤ ₦50 million are now 100% exempt from Company Income Tax.

NIN = Your Tax ID

Your National Identification Number (NIN) is now your Tax Identification Number. No separate TIN application needed.
